Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to diagnose clients' mental health conditions, employing a variety of assessment tools and methodologies tailored to individuals’ unique backgrounds.

• Create customized treatment plans based on clients' specific needs and therapeutic goals, utilizing evidence-based practices that align with current mental health research.

• Engage in remote therapy sessions using secure, HIPAA-compliant video conferencing platforms, providing a safe space for clients to express their thoughts and feelings.

• Continuously evaluate client progress, adapting treatment plans as necessary, and maintaining open lines of communication to ensure therapeutic effectiveness.

• Document all therapy sessions promptly and accurately, adhering to professional standards and ensuring all client records are confidential and up to date.

As a mental health counselor at DFSI, you will work with clients from different backgrounds, offering you the chance to make a significant impact on their lives and assist them in navigating their mental health journeys.

Qualifications\n

• A valid and current licensure in the state of Florida as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to develop rapport with clients through excellent communication and active listening skills.

• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple cases effectively, ensuring clients receive the attention and support they need.
\n
• Compassion and empathy are essential, allowing you to connect with clients on a deeper level through remote sessions.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience with teletherapy platforms and familiarity with virtual therapy techniques is preferred, as these will be cornerstone elements of your daily routine.

• Prior experience working with diverse populations, particularly in community health settings, will enhance your effectiveness in this role.

• Knowledge of various therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, will be beneficial.
