Transportation coordinator

job summary:
Join our client, a top U.S. employer dedicated to unlocking the power of food, as a Transportation Coordinator. For this remote role, we are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive self-starter proficiency in SAP and Excel is a major plus. While the position is remote, candidates living near one of our factories (such as St. Louis, MO; Davenport, IA; or Crete, NE) are preferred.

• Execute daily transportation planning activities for Our Client, including carriers scheduling, tendering, and managing professional email communications.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Our Client's Operations Planning and Warehouse/Plant teams to resolve product issues and close transportation gaps.

• Take proactive ownership of day-to-day execution decisions, identifying issues early and following them through to complete resolution.

• Balance routine transportation planning tasks with shifting daily priorities and unexpected requests in a fast-moving environment.

• Maintain reliable availability during core business hours, with the flexibility to support occasional overtime and holiday rotations.
