Registered Nurse (RN) - PCU

Registered Nurse Oncology

Schedule

12-hour shifts, rotating days and nights.

Assignment Details

Daily census of approximately 22 patients; 24 beds available.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of current, consistent acute care nursing experience.
• At least 1 year of PCU/stepdown experience.
• Oncology experience preferred but not required.
• Valid compact or state nursing license required at the time of submission.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS.
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with acute leukemia.
• Administer blood products, IV therapies, and medications as prescribed.
• Manage patient care in accordance with infection prevention and falls prevention protocols.
• Utilize rapid response teams when necessary for patient emergencies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including pharmacy, social work, and physical therapy.
• Perform central line, PICC, and peripheral line care, as well as phlebotomy and blood draws.
