Hybrid Inventory Associate

Position Overview Retail Inventory Associates are responsible for day‑to‑day inventory management at the retail storefront. They ensure accurate inventory counts, carefully verify shipments, organize product storage and sales floor presentation, maintain compliance with METRC and the POS system, and manage product flow to keep shelves fully stocked and ready for customers. Key Responsibilities Work collaboratively with the team to maintain a positive working environment. Exceed expectations in service and operations to support the company’s mission of delivering an exceptional cannabis experience. Promote a culture of positive and healthy interactions aligned with the company’s core values. Collaborate with staff to improve standard operating procedures and strategies to increase sales and enhance the customer experience. Receive and verify all deliveries against the manifest. Track products using FIFO methodology. Process all new inventory in the Point‑of‑Sales system. Stock the sales floor and ensure active inventory is represented timely and efficiently. Execute order fulfillment cycles with accuracy and efficiency. Ensure compliant and accurate labeling of products for efficient POS practices. Monitor product expiration dates, process expired or waste products according to compliance procedures, and maintain logs of defective or expired products. Maintain organization and storage of cannabis products according to DCC and California compliance standards. Audit the physical inventory to ensure accuracy with numbers reflected in the system. Assist with daily/weekly cycle counts and inventory evaluation and verification procedures. Investigate and reconcile discrepancies. Maintain an accurate account of non‑stock and unavailable inventory. Implement cannabis waste procedures and schedule per California compliance standards. Prepare all new SKUs for merchandising on the sales floor for timely display of new products. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Must be 21 years or older. OSHA certification preferred. Inventory experience in a retail environment preferred (1–2 years). Strong math and analytical skills. Proficiency using Microsoft Excel and Word and/or Google Sheets and Google Docs. METRC or similar cannabis seed‑to‑sale tracking software experience (preferred). Physical Demands The essential functions of this position require the following physical demands: Prolonged periods of standing, sitting at a desk, and working on a computer. Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time, bend, kneel, squat, and twist. Schedule & Benefits Open availability is highly preferred; must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
