Inside Sales Representative - Remote, USA - Mountain Time Zone

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine seeks a Principal Engineer to lead software, data, and AI capabilities for cell therapy discovery. This senior technical role involves designing scalable digital workflows that integrate laboratory automation, data analysis, and decision-making across pooled and arrayed screening programs.
Responsibilities
- Serve as senior software and AI technical expert for high-throughput cell therapy screening platforms
- Design and implement scalable architecture connecting laboratory automation, instruments, and enterprise systems
- Develop production applications, APIs, data pipelines, and AI-enabled solutions for discovery workflows
- Establish engineering best practices for architecture, testing, documentation, deployment, and security
- Build cross-functional partnerships, mentor teams, and influence technical direction across Discovery and IT groups
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, or related field; advanced degree preferred
- Extensive experience designing complex software systems in scientific, biotechnology, or data-intensive environments
- Demonstrated expertise integrating AI/ML and generative AI models into production-quality software systems
- Proficiency with Amazon Web Services (AWS) for compute and data storage management
- Strong systems thinking and ability to translate scientific workflows into scalable technical solutions
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management across organizational boundaries
- Ability to work in collaborative multidisciplinary teams and travel 10–15% annually
