Head of Global Business Development Lab & Analytical 28078 Huntersville, 14.05.2026, Burkert USA Corp Summary: We are seeking a strategic and results‑driven business development leader to drive global growth within the Lab & Analytical industry. This role is responsible for leading regional business development managers in a matrixed, dotted‑line structure while developing and executing a global business development strategy focused on revenue growth, profitability, and market expansion. The ideal candidate will oversee global market analysis, identify target customers and portfolio opportunities, and develop a comprehensive three‑year business plan for the sector. This position will also foster collaboration and alignment across regional teams, support knowledge sharing and best practices, and partner with key stakeholders to strengthen strategic customer relationships. Responsibilities Strategically lead the Regional Business Development Managers (of Lab & Analytical) in a dotted‑line reporting structure and develop the business development strategy for the Lab & Analytical industry Oversee global revenue and profit margins for this sector Conduct comprehensive market analysis, including volume, assessable market, and target customer identification on a global, regional, and local scale Develop and manage a three‑year business plan for the Lab & Analytical industry Facilitate global knowledge transfer and best practices across this industry Ensure global alignment across regional Lab & Analytical business development teams Join customer visits and lead projects with strategic important customers Identify and address gaps in the market portfolio and conduct competitor analysis together with the Head of Portfolio Management Lab & Analytical This job description indicates the general nature and level of work expected. Requirements Bachelor's degree in medical technology or related field; a Master's degree is preferred Proven experience in business development or sales at a managerial level Demonstrated experience in key account development and strategic customer management Experience in developing key accounts Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams.
