Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, you will engage in a variety of impactful activities, including:

• Facilitating Group Therapy: Lead group therapy sessions, creating a safe space for clients to share experiences, foster connections, and support one another.

• Providing Individual Therapy: Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions that focus on helping clients explore their thoughts and feelings and develop effective coping strategies.

• Creating Treatment Plans: Collaborate with clients to design personalized, goal-oriented treatment plans that reflect their unique needs and aspirations.

• Monitoring Progress: Use assessment tools to track client progress and tailor interventions based on feedback and outcomes, ensuring each individual receives the highest standard of care.

• Working with a Multidisciplinary Team: Collaborate with other professionals to coordinate care and provide comprehensive support for clients dealing with complex mental health issues.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily serve young adults aged 18 to 30 who are navigating mental health issues through our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP). Many of our clients are seeking support for anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and other mental health conditions. Your work will directly contribute to their recovery and personal development journeys, allowing you to witness firsthand the transformation that occurs when they receive appropriate care.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Connecticut.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to connect empathetically with clients.

• Experience in mental health counseling, with a focus on young adults preferred.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of experience in a clinical mental health setting.

• Demonstrated ability to facilitate both group and individual therapy sessions effectively.

• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and experience providing remote counseling services.

Compensation and Benefits\n
