As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly with visitors and staff, and support a welcoming environment. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Mon 10:00 AM - 08:00 PM Fri 06:45 AM - 05:00 PM Sun 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of government facilities, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity. Monitor access points and assist with visitor management in accordance with site-specific procedures and applicable government facility requirements. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification protocols. Prepare accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and other required documentation for Allied Universal and site leadership. Minimum Requirements: At least 2 years of security-related experience is required. The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred. CPR certification is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
