Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Belmont, NC | Level I Nursery Opportunity with Leading Facility

Location: Belmont, North Carolina

Start Date: As soon as possible (scheduled opening late 2024)

End Date/Duration: Permanent, full-time position

Shift: 24-hour shifts (day rounding + on-call from home)

Hours/week: 40 hours

Employment Type: Full-time

License/Certs: Board Certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (must be NNP-certified)

Experience: Minimum 2+ years as NNP (excluding RN experience)

What You'll Do

• Conduct daily rounds on newborns in a newly established Level I nursery.
• Attend deliveries as needed, providing immediate neonatal assessment and stabilization.
• Manage and facilitate transports of newborns to higher-level NICUs in Charlotte or Gastonia.
• Take call from home for in-house newborn care, ensuring prompt response to clinical needs.
• Collaborate with a team of 4 NNPs and support staff, working alongside neonatologists at the sister Level III NICU.
• Contribute to a high-quality, family-centered neonatal care environment.

What You Need

• Current Board Certification as an NNP (FNP, PNP, or other NP certifications not accepted)
• 2+ years of recent neonatal experience as an NNP required
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Excellent clinical assessment and stabilization skills for newborns
