Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental health status through interviews, questionnaires, and observation, ensuring accurate diagnosis and understanding of their needs. Develop tailored treatment plans based on clinical assessments, incorporating evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address client issues effectively. Implement and monitor progress in therapy, providing ongoing support and adjustment of strategies as necessary to facilitate client growth and resilience. Offer individual and group therapy sessions using culturally responsive modalities, and engage clients in exercises that foster coping mechanisms and skills development. Collaborate with other healthcare providers, such as psychiatrists and social workers, to coordinate holistic care and provide client referrals as needed. Document client interactions and progress in EHR accurately and timely, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to professional standards. Patient Population / Client Focus The ideal candidate will work with a diverse patient population that includes individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, substance abuse, eating disorders, and other common mental health concerns. You will engage with clients from various backgrounds, requiring cultural competence and flexibility in your therapeutic approach. Qualifications A Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required. A current and valid license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or equivalent in New York State is essential. A minimum of four years of clinical experience in mental health counseling, demonstrating proficiency in individual and group therapeutic methodologies. A strong comprehension of mental health disorders, diagnostic criteria, and evidence-based treatment practices. Compensation and Benefits The salary for this full-time position ranges from USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
