Our production floor runs because of the people who maintain it - and we take that seriously.The RoleThe Maintenance Technician is a critical, hands-on role responsible for keeping our production equipment and facility running safely and efficiently. You will own the preventive maintenance program for our industrial machinery - including hydraulic presses, hose assembly equipment, and fluid transfer systems - and respond to repair needs when equipment goes down.This role works closely with our Production Manager and production team. You are not just fixing things when they break; you are the person preventing them from breaking in the first place. Beyond equipment, you will take ownership of facility cleanliness and workspace standards - because a well-maintained facility is a reflection of how we operate. If you are a self-directed problem-solver who takes quiet pride in the work behind the scenes, this role is for you.What You'll DoPerform routine and preventive maintenance on industrial machinery and equipment, including hydraulic presses, hose assembly equipment, and fluid transfer systems - on schedule, every timeTroubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues; determine root cause, not just the symptomRepair or replace defective parts and components; work with the Production Manager to prioritize downtime and minimize production impactMaintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs, parts usage, and equipment historyMonitor and manage inventory of maintenance supplies; identify and order parts before they're needed, not afterPerform facility upkeep including cleaning and maintaining common areas, workspaces, and production areas to a consistent standardEnsure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and TCH Industries' safety policiesIdentify opportunities to improve maintenance processes, equipment reliability, and operational efficiency - and bring those ideas forwardQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED; vocational or technical training in industrial maintenance, mechanical systems, or a related field is a strong plusExperience in industrial maintenance with demonstrated knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and/or hydraulic systems - hands-on experience matters more than credentialsAbility to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and equipment schematicsProficiency with hand and power tools standard to industrial maintenance workStrong diagnostic and problem-solving skills - you think through a problem before reaching for a wrenchDetail-oriented and thorough in documentation; accurate maintenance records are part of the jobReliable and self-directed; able to manage a preventive maintenance schedule with minimal oversightAbility to lift and move up to 50 lbs; able to stand, walk, kneel, and bend for extended periodsComfortable working in varying industrial conditions - temperature, noise, and environment vary by area and seasonStrong commitment to workplace safety and OSHA complianceSchedule & CompensationFull-time, Monday–Friday 8:00am-4:30pmCompetitive hourly wage commensurate with experienceOvertime opportunities availableBenefitsMedical, dental, and vision insuranceHealth savings account (HSA)401(k) with matchingPaid time off and paid holidaysParental leaveOvertime opportunitiesCareer advancement and growth opportunities across our expanding branch networkIf you are a skilled, dependable maintenance professional who finds satisfaction in keeping a facility running right - and wants to be a valued part of a growing industrial company with deep roots in Northeast Ohio - we encourage you to apply.TCH Industries is an equal opportunity employer.
