The Patient Access Representative (PAR) effectively manages a high volume of incoming calls from a variety of patients, employees, and outside organizations while providing excellent customer service and attention to detail./ppEssential Functions:/pulliAnswer incoming calls from multi line phone system and route them to the appropriate person or department./liliAppropriately articulate organizational information including site locations, hours of operations, services and programs, registration required documents, etc./liliUse of the department approved greeting and closing./liliExecute appropriate Emergency Codes thru the intercom paging system to facilitate emergency response activation./liliAppropriately scheduling the right patient, with the right provider, at the right location, at the right time and confirming existing appointments, repeating date, time, provider and site location./li/ulpOther Duties:/pulliAbility to work with minimal direct supervision./liliInsurance Verification./liliInterprets scheduling template for Providers./liliParticipates in patient conflict resolution and demonstrates empathy addressing patient concerns./liliAdapts to changes on short notice and assists patient or Provider requests./liliComply with all organizational policies and procedures./liliParticipate in ongoing general and job related training as required./liliPerform other skill related duties as assigned./li/ulpJob Requirements and Qualifications:/ppEducation: Must be a high school graduate or equivalent (GED)./ppExperience:/pulli1-2 years in customer service./lili1-2 years managing high volume calls./liliBackground working in a clinical environment is preferred, but not required./li/ulpKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:/pulli1-2 years in customer service./lili1-2 years managing high volume calls./liliBackground working in a clinical environment is preferred, but not required./li/ulpAdditional Information:/pulliClinic hours are Monday - Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m./lili11 paid holidays per year./liliFull benefits package./liliPublic Service Loan Forgiveness./li/ulpWe believe that health care is right and not a privilege.
