Security Officer Part Time Morning Patrol

Security Officer Part Time Morning Patrol Location: Durham, NC Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Saturday: 07:00 AM – 03:00 PM Sunday: 07:00 AM – 03:00 PM What You’ll Do Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or property staff, carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and performing emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location. Respond to incidents, maintenance concerns, and/or critical situations calmly and in a problem‑solving manner, and communicate relevant details to property management or emergency personnel as needed. Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout lobbies, corridors, parking areas, loading areas, and the exterior perimeter to deter unwanted activity and observe unusual conditions. Monitor access points, common areas, and visitor activity while following post orders and documenting incidents, observations, and daily activities in required reports. Assist with checking doors, gates, lighting, and other property conditions during patrols, and report hazards, policy violations, or suspicious activity to the appropriate contacts. Minimum Requirements Access control and badge experience is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
