Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to gather detailed histories on patients’ experiences, enabling us to design effective treatment strategies tailored to individual needs.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans focused on trauma recovery, integrating evidence-based methodologies such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, fostering a supportive environment in which patients can process trauma, build coping mechanisms, and promote healing and resilience.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive integrated care that holistically addresses their needs.

• Provide crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies and help families navigate the complexities of trauma responses.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma's neurological and psychological impacts, available coping resources, and support systems.
\n
• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards for mental health practices.

• Engage in case consultations and team meetings to share insights and strategies focused on trauma-informed care, enhancing our collective expertise.

• Stay abreast of the latest research and best practices related to trauma therapy to continually improve treatment offerings.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, ranging from acute incidents to chronic distress. Our focus on a trauma-informed approach ensures that each patient feels safe and supported, allowing them to engage fully in their healing journey. You will be instrumental in guiding clients through the recovery process, helping them regain control and agency over their lives.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York State.

• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed care principles.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills rooted in compassion and non-judgment.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred, demonstrating expertise in trauma-focused therapeutic approaches.

• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and a solid grasp of computer applications relevant to telehealth.

• Experience delivering therapies such as EMDR and TF-CBT, along with a proven track record of effective crisis intervention.

Compensation and Benefits\n
