Description

• Create comprehensive assessments for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics through the use of standard measures and insightful observation.
• Develop individualized treatment plans focusing on both immediate and long-term goals for communication, cognition, or swallowing.
• Deliver dedicated speech therapy sessions aimed at enhancing communication skills, language development, fluency, vocal clarity, and swallowing health.
• Work hand in hand with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, family members, and caregivers to design cohesive care plans.
• Educate patients and families on techniques to encourage progress beyond the clinical environment.
• Occasionally participate in inpatient evaluations and therapy sessions, ensuring a seamless care experience throughout the healing process.
• Document patient progress accurately and promptly, adhering to relevant state and organizational standards.
• Engage in continuous professional development to stay abreast of innovations in the field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), if not ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Therapist .
• ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hiring.
