Description

• Create individualized treatment plans, addressing immediate goals while considering long-term communication, cognitive, and swallowing challenges.
• Deliver tailored speech therapy sessions, focusing on language, fluency, voice, and swallowing needs.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and physicians to foster unified treatment strategies.
• Provide education to patients and families, empowering them to support therapeutic gains at home.
• Assist with patient evaluations and therapeutic interventions in an inpatient capacity, ensuring a seamless continuation of care.
• Document patient progress and therapy outcomes in accordance with all regulatory and organizational standards.
• Stay abreast of emerging trends and techniques in speech therapy through continued education and teamwork.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
