Key Responsibilities\n

  Conduct thorough assessments of patients' mental health status, utilizing established diagnostic tools such as the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) to inform tailored treatment plans.

  Develop comprehensive treatment plans in collaboration with patients and their families, focusing on individualized goals, cultural sensitivity, and specific needs relevant to the cancer-affected population.

  Regularly evaluate and modify treatment strategies based on ongoing patient progress, using evidence-based practices to ensure that therapeutic interventions are effective and appropriate.

  Maintain diligent documentation of all treatment records, clinical notes, and progress reports in accordance with regulatory standards and internal protocols, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

  Guide and coordinate referrals to additional services, establishing strong relationships with external clinicians and agencies to create a supportive network for patients.

  Take an active role in mentoring and teaching students, interns, and other professionals who are involved in psychiatric care, fostering an environment of learning and collaboration.

  Participate in clinical reviews and peer collaborations as directed by your supervisor, contributing to the continuous improvement of clinical practices within the organization.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The patients you will serve primarily consist of individuals and families who are navigating the mental health challenges associated with a cancer diagnosis. This specialized focus requires not only a solid grounding in mental health counseling but also an understanding of the emotional and psychological complexities that cancer brings to patients and their families. Your role as an LCSW will be critical in providing support, hope, and effective coping strategies to this vulnerable population.

  A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.

  Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California is mandatory.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is competitive, offering between USD 90,000 and 105,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
