Description – What Your Role Entails

• Conduct standard and complex clinical laboratory tests—including chemistry, hematology, and immunology—adhering to established protocols.
• Evaluate test results for precision, resolve discrepancies, and carry out preventative maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments.
• Participate in specimen collection and prepare samples for analysis when appropriate.
• Thoroughly document all processes, mentor new team members or students, and assist in maintaining high laboratory quality standards.
• Ensure a neat, safe working environment while complying with regulatory and accreditation guidelines.

Education

• Hold a bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or a relevant allied health degree, coupled with ASCP/AMT certification preparedness.

Certifications

• Obtain ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) within a year of hiring.
• Maintain active certification throughout your tenure.
