This position is based in our outpatient office located in Aurora, IL, providing you with the unique opportunity to work remotely while being part of a vibrant and dynamic clinical team. The typical work schedule runs Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts as required based on patient needs. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify the needs and concerns of children and adolescents.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that address individual developmental stages, family dynamics, and cultural considerations.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions using modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and play therapy to effectively treat conditions like anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.

• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and additional multidisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention services and support for clients experiencing mental health emergencies.
\n
• Educate children and their families about mental health issues, treatment options, and available resources in the community.
\n
• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress following established legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing training to enhance clinical skills and knowledge of best practices.

• Stay informed on the latest research and advancements in child and adolescent psychiatry to integrate new insights into your practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on children and adolescents, ages 5 to 18, who may be struggling with a range of psychological issues. These may include, but are not limited to, anxiety, depression, ADHD, and other behavioral disorders. By working closely with families, you will help to foster a supportive environment that promotes healing and resilience among young individuals.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Illinois.
\n
• In-depth knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders and therapeutic practices.
\n
• Demonstrated experience in providing individual and family therapy to children and adolescents.
\n
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating a compassionate approach to therapy.
\n
• Proficient in building rapport and trust with children, adolescents, and their families.
\n
• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and computer applications.
\n
• A strong ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team model.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, specifically working with children and adolescents.

• Experience in developing and leading family-based therapy sessions.
