Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Tufts Physical Therapy, you will:

• Evaluate patients referred by physicians and develop customized treatment plans based on individual needs.
• Implement diverse therapeutic techniques to facilitate recovery, encompassing orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine domains.
• Provide ongoing support through patient education, training, and consultation, assisting both patients and their caregivers in understanding treatment protocols.
• Strive to achieve performance metrics, including patient utilization goals and overall clinical outcomes.
• Document patient progress and adapt care approaches based on evidence-based practices and patient feedback.
• Support a team-oriented environment, collaborating with other healthcare providers and stakeholders to enhance patient outcomes and ensure comprehensive care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will expose you to a diverse population, including children, athletes, adults, and seniors navigating various conditions. Each encounter will emphasize the importance of understanding the unique challenges faced by these groups, guiding treatment to address specific functional limitations and providing a holistic approach to their recovery journey.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A valid state license to practice physical therapy in Virginia.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to engage effectively with patients and their families.
• Proficiency in word processing and the use of electronic medical records.

Preferred Experience

Candidates should ideally have at least two years of hands-on experience as a licensed Physical Therapist. Experience in home health settings or familiarity with personalized patient care approaches will be highly regarded.

Compensation and Benefits
