Payroll Clerk | $25–28/hr | Contract to Hire | Onsite – San Diego, CA Our client is looking for Payroll Clerks to support day-to-day payroll operations during a period of growth and transition. In this role, you will help ensure timely and accurate processing of employee pay, maintain organized records, and contribute to smooth internal operations. Who You Are:
- Experience supporting payroll processes in a mid-to-large employee environment
- Familiarity with payroll systems (ADP or similar platforms preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate within a small team
- Assist with processing payroll for a multi-employee workforce, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Review and validate employee timekeeping data, including non-exempt hours
- Support payroll audits and resolve discrepancies as needed
- Maintain organized payroll records and documentation
- Collaborate with internal partners to address payroll-related questions
- Contribute to process improvements and help support increased payroll volume
