Biologist (PhD) for AI Training

Role Overview
Apply advanced biology expertise to help train and evaluate next-generation AI systems. You will provide scientifically rigorous, real-world input that improves how models reason and perform on biological subject matter. Prior AI experience is not required.
Key Responsibilities
- Critically evaluate biology-related data, prompts, and content, providing detailed feedback for AI development workflows.
- Create, review, and refine scientific scenarios, questions, and explanations based on complex biological problems.
- Ensure biological training data and system outputs are accurate, relevant, and sufficiently detailed.
- Work with project teams to resolve ambiguities and improve data quality, coverage, and representativeness.
- Document findings, methods, and rationale to support transparent, reproducible deliverables.
- Participate in iterative reviews, ongoing evaluations, and knowledge-sharing with interdisciplinary experts.
Qualifications
- PhD in biology or a closely related life science discipline.
- Strong command of core biological principles and the ability to explain complex topics to varied audiences.
- Excellent written and verbal scientific communication skills.
- Experience analyzing scientific data, evaluating research critically, and synthesizing complex material.
- Ability to work independently and deliver consistent, high-quality work within defined project frameworks.
- Attention to detail, sound critical judgment, and commitment to scientific rigor and accuracy.
- Experience contributing to interdisciplinary scientific or technology-focused projects is preferred. AI exposure is helpful but not required.
Work Terms
- Remote independent contractor engagement.
- Work is task-based, and completion time varies by experience and workflow.
- Minimum submission requirements apply, including a minimum weekly task-submission commitment.
- Selected candidates should be ready to begin first tasks within 24 to 48 hours after completing the required onboarding steps.
Compensation
- Stated pay range: $80 to $90 per hour.
- Compensation is output-based and paid for tasks that meet project specifications.
