Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients to evaluate the severity and impact of mood disorder symptoms on their daily lives.

• Develop personalized treatment plans that incorporate client goals, preferences, and evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

• Implement therapeutic interventions and monitor client progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary to best support individual mental health journeys.

• Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic and integrated approach to client care.

• Stay informed about the latest research in the mental health field to continually enhance treatment strategies and therapeutic efficacy.

• Ensure all client records and documentation adhere to legal and ethical standards, maintaining confidentiality and security at all times.

• Advocate for the mental health needs of clients, particularly those facing barriers to care such as homelessness, refugee status, or domestic violence.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients you will engage with often face significant challenges associated with mood disorders, including depression, anxiety, and the effects of trauma. This role is particularly focused on those in vulnerable situations who may be experiencing homelessness, fleeing from domestic abuse, or dealing with the psychosocial stresses of adapting to a new environment. Your expertise will play a crucial role in guiding these individuals towards recovery and stability, creating impactful change in their lives.

Qualifications\n

• Possession of an active and current state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
