Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms, tailoring your approach to each individual’s unique needs.

• Develop and implement individual treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to promote client progress.

• Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families, helping them understand mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies.

• Regularly monitor and track client progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated approach to client care.

• Stay informed on the latest research and treatment developments related to mood disorders, utilizing this knowledge to enhance therapeutic techniques.

• Maintain accurate and confidential client records in accordance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development to ensure the highest standard of care is provided.

• Advocate for clients by addressing mental health stigma and promoting access to services, particularly for vulnerable populations such as refugees and domestic abuse survivors.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will be primarily working with clients experiencing mood disorders, including but not limited to, depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Our clinic serves a diverse clientele, which may include individuals facing significant challenges such as homelessness, refugee status, or a history of domestic violence. Your role will involve not only clinical assessments and therapy but also a commitment to understanding the broader context of their experiences.

Qualifications\n

• A current and valid state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
