Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients, thereby developing a clear understanding of their unique needs.

• Collaborate with clients to create tailored treatment plans utilizing evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
\n
• Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and essential self-care practices to enhance overall well-being.
\n
• Monitor and track client progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on their development and needs.
\n
• Engage with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care for each client.
\n
• Stay informed on the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatment to continually improve therapeutic strategies.
\n
• Maintain confidentiality and accurate documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
\n
• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

• Advocate for clients’ mental health needs while working to reduce stigma associated with mental health disorders.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on serving individuals suffering from various mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, and related mental health challenges. You will provide vital support to clients from diverse backgrounds, including vulnerable populations such as those experiencing homelessness, refugees, and survivors of domestic abuse. Your work will be instrumental in helping these individuals navigate their mental health challenges, fostering resilience and recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A valid and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) .

• A Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to establish a trusting therapeutic relationship with clients.

• A compassionate and nonjudgmental approach towards clients’ experiences and struggles, demonstrating empathy and support.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage workload effectively, ensuring timely administrative tasks.
