Key Responsibilities\n

In this role, you will:

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify clients' mental health needs and create personalized treatment plans tailored to their specific circumstances.

• Utilize various evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or Gestalt Therapy, to facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions.

• Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals within the community, ensuring a comprehensive and coordinated care approach for all clients.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention for clients experiencing acute emotional distress or mental health emergencies through our remote platforms.

• Participate in community education initiatives aimed at improving mental health literacy and advocacy efforts.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a therapist at Vitality Counseling, you will work with a diverse clientele that includes individuals of various socioeconomic backgrounds, ages, and cultures, each bringing unique challenges and therapeutic needs. Your cultural competence and knowledge of various therapeutic practices will allow you to connect with clients facing issues ranging from anxiety, depression, and trauma, to relationship difficulties and substance use disorders.

Qualifications\n

To qualify for this position, candidates must:

• Hold a current and valid mental health license in Maryland, such as Licensed Certified Social Worker - Clinical (LCSW-C), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).

• Possess a master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology.
\n
• Exhibit strong communication skills, demonstrating the ability to build rapport and maintain therapeutic relationships with clients.

• Show cultural awareness and sensitivity in working with clients from various backgrounds and experiences.

• Demonstrate efficient time-management and organizational skills to uphold accurate client documentation and reporting.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
