East Grand Forks School District is seeking applicants for a Cook Manager.

East Grand Forks, MN is a city with a population of approximately 8,500 and located in the heart of the Red River Valley in Northwest Minnesota. It borders Grand Forks, ND and is very close to the University of North Dakota and Northland Community and Technical College. The district's K-12 enrollment is approximately 1900 students as well as a thriving preschool program. The district has four separate school buildings housing grades K-2, 3-5, 6-8 and 9-12.

Terms:
Compensation will be $26.12/hour per the EGF ISD 595 Food Service Work Agreement .
Hours will be from 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM on days when school is in session

Qualifications:
Knowledge of food safety, food preparation, kitchen sanitation practices. Willingness to develop and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, co-workers, other district staff, students, and members of the public.
Need to be ServSafe Certified/MN Certified Food Protection Managers license and/or willing to obtain within 30 days of hire.

Reporting Relationship:
The Cook Manager reports directly to the Nutrition Services Manager

Basic Function of the Position:
The Cook Manager is responsible to oversee the daily nutrition service operations of a school kitchen

Job Description:
Provide work direction to food service staff during food preparation, food service and cleanup.
Assist in the meal planning and preparation while ensuring food safety guidelines are met.
Conduct inventory ordering and organization while keeping accurate records.
