Schedule: 13-week assignment with weekend requirement of 4 shifts per 4-week period. For night shift staff, weekend shifts are Friday and Saturday nights only (Sunday is not considered a weekend shift for night staff). Float requirements apply.

Highlights:

• Work in a dynamic Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit caring for diverse patient populations including acute care surgery, orthopedic/trauma overflow, and progressive care patients
• 30-bed unit with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including interpretation services
• Epic charting system experience required
• Exposure to advanced nursing skills including dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV insulin protocols, central line care, and rapid response team utilization
• Competitive travel assignment with parking options available
• Trauma Level I/II experience preferred

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 1+ years of RN experience in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry settings
• Previous travel nursing experience required (not suitable for first-time travelers)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Nursing degree from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV insulin protocols, feeding tube care, and use of rapid response/code teams
• 2 professional references required (at least one from a manager/director or formal leadership position)
• Ability to complete Ohio fingerprinting process urgently upon contract signing

Additional Skills Preferred:

• Blood product administration
• Central line and PICC line management
• BiPAP/CPAP management and high-flow nasal cannula
• Chest tube management
• PCA and peripheral nerve block catheters
• Wound care/wound vac experience
• Tracheostomy care and management
• Pre/post cardiac surgery, neurosurgery, and hemodialysis management
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred

Important Notes:

• Travelers are expected to float first when scheduled
• Maximum of 2 sick calls per contract; third call-off results in contract termination
• Limited time-off requests considered on case-by-case basis; extensive RTOs will not be approved
• Strict compliance deadline of Tuesday prior to start date
• Former employees must have been away from the facility for 6+ months to be eligible
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
