About the Position

Job Opportunity – Medical-Surgical/Telemetry RN – Ohio

Start Date: November 16, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift (3x12-hour shifts). Weekdays and some weekends (3-4 weekend days per month). Patient ratio 1:4.

Highlights:

• Mixed medical-surgical and telemetry unit with 27 beds and a daily census of approximately 23 patients
• EPIC EMR charting system used throughout the facility
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics with general medical diagnoses including organ failure, isolation precautions, substance withdrawal, and dysrhythmia management
• 36-hour orientation provided; may be required to float to lower acuity units as needed
• Experience with IV therapy, PICC lines, chest tubes, Foleys, and bedside procedures such as paracentesis

Requirements:

• Active Ohio RN license (compact or state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and IV certifications required
• EPIC experience strongly preferred
• Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and multitasking abilities
• Travel nursing experience is a plus but not required
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
• Two professional references required: at least one from a manager/director or formal leadership role; charge RN acceptable for second reference (no coworker references)
