Schedule: Night shift, 36 hours per week. Weekdays and some weekends required (3-4 weekend shifts per month). Float required to different units within the organization as needed.
Highlights:

• Mixed Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit with 27 beds and average daily census of 23 patients
• 4:1 patient ratio on days, nights, and weekends
• Unit includes 6 transitional Progressive Care Unit beds (PCU experience not required)
• 36-hour orientation period provided
• First-time travelers welcome with minimum 1 year of experience
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including Pharmacy, Respiratory Services, Physical Therapy, Rapid Response Teams, and more

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 1 year of Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing experience
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
• Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• 2 professional references required: at least one from a manager, director, or formal supervisor; Charge RN acceptable for second reference
• Must be available to complete Ohio fingerprinting process promptly upon contract signing

Clinical Skills:
IV insertion and maintenance, peripheral line care, PICC line management
Interpretation and management of cardiac dysrhythmias
Chest tube management (Emerson/PleurEvac systems)
Oxygen administration and nasal cannula
Isolation precautions and PPE protocols
Use of Rapid Response and Code teams
Care for patients with substance withdrawal, organ failure, and general medical conditions
Patient Population:
Adult and geriatric patients
General medical diagnoses including opioid withdrawal, organ failure, altered level of consciousness, behavioral issues, and intellectual/developmental disabilities
Medical-surgical procedures including Foley catheter insertion, IV antibiotics, bedside paracentesis, peritoneal dialysis, lumbar punctures, and more

Former employees must have been away from the facility for 6 months or more to be eligible
