Job Title: CVOR RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: CVOR Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 06:00 - 16:30 Experience: 1 year of CVOR experience required License: Active RN license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS required Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred - Epic charting system experience required - Level 1 trauma experience preferred - Call requirement of approximately 14 per month, including weekend call Description: The CVOR RN provides care in the cardiovascular operating room, assisting with a variety of surgical procedures. Call is split among CV staff, which requires flexibility and teamwork. Floating to vascular and general surgical units is required. Clinicians will be responsible for the administration of medications and monitoring patient responses. They must demonstrate proficiency in various surgical procedures and possess specific technical skills. A focused understanding of cardiac and thoracic surgeries is essential. The unit provides interdisciplinary support and focuses on both adult and geriatric patient populations. Clinicians will work in a fast-paced environment, handling two cases daily with a patient ratio of three during the day shift. This position requires collaboration with multiple healthcare professionals, including IV teams and respiratory services. Candidates must adhere to all safety and infection control protocols. Overall, the role is pivotal in ensuring positive surgical outcomes and supporting patient recovery.
