Therapist Position Overview
Our incredible Ellie therapists share a vision for delivering the most exceptional mental health care in the greater Charlotte community. We are seeking a licensed therapist to work with couples and individuals. This position will be located in either our beautiful Blakeney office or Southpark location.

Practice Description Ellie Mental Health is a kick @$$ mental health practice where diversity, humor, and authenticity thrive. Successful therapists at Ellie have an innate drive and an eagerness to serve their clients. We are a practice that values community engagement and do this through intentional networking and participating in stigma reduction events within the Charlotte community.

Ellie Charlotte serves our community through individual, family, couples, and group therapy services. Our Ellie team prides itself on working collaboratively with clients and community providers to deliver the most comprehensive and personalized treatment to all clients. We are excited to bring on talented, passionate, and collaborative therapists to our team!

Role Specifics:

Position Responsibilities Include:

• Conduct intakes/initial assessments and provide ongoing therapy to teens and adults (couples optional but preferred) 
• Maintain a caseload of a minimum of 27 client visits per week. (5.5 clients/day)
• Maintain appropriate clinical documentation, including treatment plans
• Work with billing dept to maintain clean accounts for clients
• Coordinate services with medical providers, other treatment providers, and school staff as needed. 
• Provide exceptional customer service for clients. 
• Attend and participate in all staff meetings and mandatory trainings. 
• Assist with onboarding of new therapists (this promotes a welcoming, strong, and inclusive company culture) 
• Show up in our community! Engage in networking/social, outreach, and community-based events to reduce mental health stigma and promote Ellie in the Charlotte community.
• Be excellent to each other! You will play a critical role in maintaining a peaceful & happy work environment. 

Required Qualifications and Skills: 

• Candidates must be independently licensed in the state of NC.
  • Out of state candidates must be within 30 days of receiving reciprocity in NC.
• Demonstrable experience in working with couples
• Experience with assessments, treatment plans, and clinical documentation
• Comfort and familiarity working with a diverse client base
• Proficiency with using EHR's
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to demonstrate adaptability and solution-oriented thinking
• Ability to work independently

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• Ideal candidates will have a basic knowledge of third-party billing/rev cycle management concepts
• Knowledge of community resources and demonstrable willingness to learn about and engage with Ellie's preferred providers 
• Proficient in the use of Office 365 
• Therapists with LGBTQIA+ and/or First Responder/Veteran experience will be given priority

What else you should know:

• This position is located in greater Charlotte, NC (Southpark, Blakeney) with an expected start date of late Sept-Oct 2026 (partially dependent on credentialing process)
• Our clinics offer in person and telehealth options to clients
• This position will be under the direction of the Clinic Manager
• We believe in equal and transparent pay. The salary range for a full-time (27+/wk) therapist is $67,000 - $81,000 depending on licensure and caseload
