divh2Bartender/h2pResponsible for all aspects of the bar ranging from preparation to service. Ensures that supplies and stock are at sufficient levels to accommodate business demands during their shift. Provides guidance to the Apprentice Bartender as well as mixing and serving drinks to customers during their shift. Accounts for all stock and supplies used./ph3How You Will Create the Extraordinary/h3ulliPrepares ordered drinks with proper portions and ingredients such as wine, liquor and related bar service to guests at assigned stations./liliMixes drinks according to prescribed recipes; keeps station stocked with all liquor, glasses and accessories necessary; accounts for all beginning cash register bank, all cash, complimentary drinks and charge receipts./liliOperates a cash register, ringing the proper amount into the register and giving the guest or server the correct change./liliPossesses a keen sense of timing and is capable of discreetly speeding up or slowing down his/her station as necessary./liliResourceful with beverages, fruit and supplies in order to maintain low beverage costs./liliSet up service items at the assigned bar./liliInventory supplies at the bar at the beginning of their shift and requisition additional items as indicated by Bar standards./liliClean any spillage at the bar throughout the shift./liliTake and serve cocktail orders./liliAccept payment for cocktails as required./liliCount down register drawers and complete summaries./liliLog stock used during the shift./liliMaintains the appropriate appearance of the bar in accordance with county health and department standards./liliEnsures that all service items and stock is prepared for the shift./liliRemains attentive to the needs and requests of the customers./liliTreats customers with courtesy and respect./liliFollows all applicable safety procedures./liliIs at all times appropriately groomed and wears the uniform provided./liliAdditional related duties as requested./li/ulh3What You Will Need/h3ulliWork requires 1 year prior bartending experience./liliMust have completed union apprenticeship program (possess union Pour Card)./liliMust have knowledge of beverages, glassware, and garnishes./liliWork requires effective communication in English, both verbal and written form in a professional manner./liliMust present a neat and professional appearance./liliWork requires interactions with customers, public and co-workers./liliWork requires ability to accurately count money and provide change./liliWork requires schedule flexibility which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed./liliMust possess basic reading, writing and mathematical skills./liliStrong interpersonal and communication skills./liliCompletion of specialized bartending school preferred./li/ulpAdditional Requirements/pulliAbility to work from a standing position for extended periods of time./liliAbility to perform reaching and stooping motions repeatedly./liliVisual ability needed to accurately measure ingredients for mixing drinks./liliFast paced, high volume environment involving constant public./liliRequires standing, walking, and lifting a minimum of 20lbs repeatedly./liliShifts may vary based on business needs./liliMust be able to handle intoxicated guests in a professional manner./liliMust be able to tolerate secondary tobacco smoke./li/ulh3About Us/h3pAs part of our award winning team, you will help to create the romantic ambiance and classic European style that our most prestigious guests have come to expect from Paris Las Vegas.
