Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Springleaf, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Directing physical therapy treatment to alleviate pain, restore muscle function, and enhance mobility in accordance with individualized care plans.
• Overseeing physical therapy assistants to ensure effective implementation of treatment strategies.
• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients' functional abilities using diagnostic assessments to inform treatment plans.
• Evaluating and modifying treatment plans based on patient progress, environmental considerations, and clinical outcomes.
• Providing therapy services in accordance with physician directives, ensuring compliance with best practice protocols.
• Administering targeted manual therapies, exercise regimens, and modalities, such as traction and massage, to promote healing.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams during case conferences to align treatment goals and strategies.
• Maintaining accurate clinical records, including evaluations and progress notes, in compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
• Advising clients and their families on therapeutic exercises and the use of assistive devices to support recovery and independence.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on a diverse range of patients requiring orthopedic rehabilitation, including those recovering from surgeries, injuries, or chronic pain conditions. Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current physical therapy licensure in good standing within New Jersey.
• Valid CPR certification and a valid driver's license with automobile insurance.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to build rapport with patients and their families.

Preferred Experience

We prefer candidates who have:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT).
• At least one year of experience working as a physical therapist in an acute care or home care setting.
