About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Advancement to join its leadership team. The successful candidate will be a key partner in the organization's mission to make quality elementary education accessible to all children. This role is both strategic and hands-on, with a focus on building and leading the advancement program to meet annual fundraising goals. The VP will be responsible for developing and refining a multi-year advancement strategy, managing a portfolio of major donors, and leading a high-performing advancement team. Key responsibilities include strategic leadership, organizational leadership, and fundraising leadership, with a strong emphasis on donor stewardship and pipeline management. Applicants must have a minimum of 7 years' of progressive advancement experience, a proven track record in securing significant gifts, and experience in leading fundraising teams. The role requires a relationship builder, a strategic thinker, and a compelling communicator with a genuine affinity for the mission. The VP will be accountable for the team's results and will work closely with the Executive Director and the Board of Directors. Proficiency in donor management systems is essential, and a Bachelor's degree is required. The ideal candidate will be a coach and developer of talent, with a focus on creating sustainable, multi-year donor relationships and ensuring the long-term health of the donor pipeline.
