Location: West Virginia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 3x12 or 4x12 Night shifts, 19:00-07:30; weekdays and weekends (3 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period)

Highlights:

• 34-bed Medical/Surgical unit with telemetry capabilities
• Patient ratio of 1:5-7 on night shift
• 13-week assignment with strong possibility of extension
• Electronic Medical Records: Cerner
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• 12 hours of orientation provided

Requirements:

• Active RN license: West Virginia or Compact state license required (pending licenses accepted for submission)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (must be American Heart Association certified)
• Experience with patient ratios of 1:6 or higher preferred
• Proficiency with Cerner charting system preferred
• Must reside 75+ miles from facility location
• Minimum of 2 manager or charge nurse references from the past 2 years required
• Strong attendance record required; reliable attendance is a critical expectation
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)

Key Clinical Skills:

• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Central line and PICC line management
• Blood product administration and heparin protocols
• Wound care and wound vac management
• Management of BiPAP/CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, and oxygen administration
• Pre/post cardiac catheterization and hemodialysis care
• Care of patients with CVA, renal failure, and complex medical conditions
• Experience with feeding tubes, chest tubes, surgical drains, and tracheostomy care
