**Quality Control Analyst**Job title: Quality Control AnalystLocation: Smithfield, PAAt Johnson Matthey, your work will matter. As a Quality Control Analyst, you’ll join a world leader in platinum group metals with over 200 years of history. Using advanced metals chemistry, you’ll help tackle the world’s biggest challenges - cutting emissions, powering modern life and supporting life-saving technologies - by applying, refining and recycling metals that matter for a healthier, more sustainable, circular future.The role:As a Quality Control Analyst, you will help drive our goals by:• Performing analytical testing of raw materials, in-process samples and finished products to support quality standards.• Preparing chemical reagents and standards and ensuring accurate sample preparation.• Reviewing analytical results, identifying out-of-control conditions and escalating issues where required.• Maintaining, calibrating and troubleshooting laboratory instrumentation.• Supporting the introduction of new analytical methods and continuous improvement activities.• Training colleagues on laboratory procedures while maintaining accurate quality documentation.Key skills that will help you succeed in this role:• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.• Knowledge of chemical analysis, quality systems and manufacturing processes.• Familiarity with ICP and/or XRF analytical techniques is advantageous.• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills within a laboratory environment.• Ability to maintain detailed records and communicate technical information clearly.• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.Even if you only match some of the skills, we’d love to hear from you to discuss further!What we offer:We make sure salaries are fair, competitive and aligned to individual roles, experience and responsibilities.
