Medical Interpreter, Day Shift, Executive Services

Shady Grove Medical Center As a Medical Interpreter, you will: Provide language interpretation in various medical settings (i.e. admission, ER, behavioral health, labor and delivery, internal medicine, cardiology, endocrinology, other specialty areas, outpatient, and more) Observe interpreter standards of practice such as maintaining professional boundaries, respecting patients’ rights, and remaining neutral while supporting patient-provider relationship Serve as a cultural and linguistic resource for hospital staff and patients Track interpretation services rendered Assist manager with administrative tasks, as needed Qualifications Include: An associate degree in a healthcare related field preferred Trained and tested healthcare interpreter with at least one year of experience Professional interpreting certification, such as Certified Medical Interpreter preferred Candidates are required to pass the QBS test at Level II to be eligible for hire Spanish and English, strongly preferred.
