Work Environment\n

This role is primarily remote, allowing for flexible work arrangements while contributing to a dynamic and innovative community health clinic. Our standard work schedule runs from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts to cater to the needs of our patients. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough and sensitive mental health assessments tailored to the unique developmental stages of children and adolescents.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices and the specific needs of each patient.

• Facilitate a range of therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, play therapy, and family therapy, adapting styles to suit varied age groups.

• Guide family therapy sessions aimed at empowering parents and caregivers to foster supportive home environments conducive to mental health.

• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure comprehensive service delivery.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during mental health emergencies to stabilize young individuals and connect them to appropriate resources.

• Educate children and their families about mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and available community resources to facilitate informed decision-making.

• Maintain precise and confidential documentation in accordance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
\n
• Engage actively in ongoing team meetings, consultations, and professional development activities to foster continual learning and application of best practices.

• Stay current with research advancements in child and adolescent psychiatry to implement the latest evidence-based methods in your practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on children and adolescents aged 5 to 18 grappling with a variety of mental health disorders, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral challenges. Working closely with families, you will cultivate environments that empower youth and enhance their coping mechanisms, ensuring that every young person receives attentive, individualized care.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas is required.

• Demonstrated knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders and effective therapeutic approaches.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, particularly with children, parents, and caregivers.

• Strong organizational skills and proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• A willingness to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team framework.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of post-licensure experience in providing counseling or therapy to children and adolescents preferred.

• Experience with evidence-based modalities, such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and family-focused therapies.

• Proven ability to create rapport and establish trust with diverse populations and their families.

Compensation and Benefits\n
