Registration Coordinator

Overview Odessa Brown Children’s Clinic (OBCC) has locations in Othello and the Central District. Services include pediatric medical care, behavioral health, dental services, nutrition, sports medicine, physical therapy, occupational therapy and more. Since 1970, OBCC has worked to uphold the vision of community organizer Odessa Brown: to bring quality healthcare with dignity to children from birth to young adulthood in the Central District and south Seattle. Responsibilities Register patients and check them in for scheduled and walk-in clinical visits in the outpatient setting of the hospital. Provide support for Urgent Care, Radiology, and Access Clinic check-ins, operating seven days per week, during both day and evening times. Schedule patient return visit appointments and minimize clinic access delays. Communicate effectively with patients and families, informing of and collecting signed consent for care. Maintain infection prevention standards and establish systems to improve the patient experience and clinic efficiency. Qualifications Required Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of one (1) year customer service and/or administrative support experience. Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree. Minimum of three (3) years experience in a health care setting or related field. Significant experience working with the general public in a health care/customer service environment. Familiarity with other cultures and bilingual skills. Compensation $23.15 - $34.73 per hour. This range is based on full-time employment (2080 hours per year) and may vary by factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise. Offers are determined accordingly.
