This position operates remotely, allowing you to work comfortably from your preferred location. Standard working hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, with occasional evening hours required based on client need.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health and substance use issues, and identify the presence of co-occurring disorders.

• Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans, incorporating evidence-based interventions tailored to their unique needs.

• Deliver therapeutic services, including individual and group therapy sessions, focused on empowering clients to develop effective coping skills and relapse prevention strategies.

• Engage regularly in care coordination with other health professionals, such as psychiatrists and addiction specialists, to ensure a cohesive and holistic treatment approach.

• Implement monitoring techniques for substance use, utilizing motivational interviewing to facilitate client engagement and commitment to recovery.

• Provide educational resources to clients and their families about the interconnection between mental health and substance use, emphasizing the importance of compliance with treatment plans.

• Maintain accurate records of treatment sessions, interventions, and client progress in accordance with ethical and legal standards.

• Participate actively in team meetings, case conferences, and professional development workshops to enhance your skills and clinical knowledge in integrated care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role will primarily focus on supporting individuals with co-occurring disorders, which require a distinct therapeutic approach due to the complex interactions between mental health and substance use issues. You will work with a diverse client population, including young adults, adults, and possibly families, requiring sensitivity to cultural and socio-economic factors that may impact their treatment.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited educational institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Florida.
\n
• Proficient in evidence-based therapeutic modalities for co-occurring disorders, including Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

• Strong understanding and practical experience addressing the complexities surrounding mental health and substance use interdependently.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal skills that enable you to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, enhancing the effectiveness of care delivery.

Preferred Experience\n

Applicants with a minimum of two years of experience in mental health counseling, particularly focusing on co-occurring disorders, will be favored. Experience working in an integrated care model and familiarity with telehealth platforms is also desirable, allowing for a smoother transition into this remote role.

Compensation and Benefits\n
