Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate each patient’s unique trauma history, strengths, and needs, guiding the development of individualized treatment plans.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), tailored to each patient’s recovery journey.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions to assist clients in processing their trauma and cultivating essential coping strategies.
\n
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care that focuses on comprehensive patient support.

• Provide crisis intervention using a calm and composed approach to effectively manage trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and recovery processes, equipping them with knowledge about available resources.

• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in team consultations and meetings to share insights and learnings, contributing to both personal and organizational growth.

• Stay current with the latest developments in trauma therapy by participating in continuing education and professional development initiatives.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a therapist at Medina Behavioral Health Center, you will work closely with a diverse group of patients who have experienced trauma, ranging from acute incidents to complex trauma and dissociative disorders. Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Arizona.

• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and expertise in trauma-informed treatment methodologies.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, characterized by a compassionate and non-judgmental counseling approach.

Compensation and Benefits\n
