Position Title: Accounting Specialist

Location: Minneapolis, MN 55402

Shift Timing: Monday - Friday

Duration: 03 months (FTE conversion possible for this role)

Pay Rate: $20.70 on W2

 

Job Description

We are seeking an Accounting Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in processing transactions, reconciliations, and travel and expense (T&E) reports and a proven ability to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely resolution of accounting activities and inquiries.

 

Responsibilities:

• Process transactions across accounts payable, journal vouchers, vendor invoices, expense reimbursements, ledgers, statements, billings, and related documents.
• Reconcile and maintain various accounts and ledgers with accurate and timely entries.
• Research discrepancies, determine root causes, and perform corrections or adjustments.
• Respond to and resolve inquiries from internal stakeholders and vendors.
• Post, check, and verify data to ensure data integrity and compliance with policies.
• Run and prepare routine financial reports and basic analyses.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Prior Travel & Expense report processing experience.
• Customer service experience supporting internal customers by phone.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Attention to detail with the ability to verify and validate financial data.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with accounts payable workflows and vendor invoice management.
• Familiarity with ERP or T&E systems and standard reconciliation practices.
