Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of clients’ mental, emotional, and relational well-being to inform personalized treatment plans. Facilitate individual therapy sessions to address a variety of mental health concerns, utilizing effective therapeutic techniques tailored to each client’s needs. Lead couples therapy sessions aimed at improving communication and resolving conflicts, thus strengthening relationships. Regularly review and modify treatment plans to adapt to clients’ evolving goals and progress, ensuring comprehensive care. Maintain meticulous documentation including progress notes and treatment plans, ensuring timely and compliant records of all client interactions. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide holistic care, coordinating with other healthcare professionals as necessary to further support client recovery. Provide crisis intervention and support, equipped to manage acute distress and support clients during emergency situations. Engage in continual professional development through workshops, training, and conferences to stay updated on current practices in marriage and family therapy. Adhere to ethical guidelines and maintain client confidentiality as a foundational principle of your practice. Empower clients by advocating for their rights and well-being and guide them in accessing additional resources and services as needed. Patient Population / Client Focus Your primary focus will be on clients across all ages, including teenagers, adults, and couples, all of whom seek assistance with various mental health challenges. Your ability to relate to and engage with a diverse patient population will be crucial in fostering a strong therapeutic alliance and promoting positive outcomes. Qualifications A Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field is required. Active licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of Florida is mandatory. Proven experience delivering both individual and couples therapy, with a preference for candidates experienced with adolescent and adult clients. Strong skills in conducting client assessments, writing treatment plans, and maintaining detailed progress notes. Effective communication skills, along with an ability to learn and utilize electronic health record systems efficiently. Preferred Experience Experience working in a community health clinic or similar setting is beneficial. Familiarity with teletherapy platforms and tools that enable effective remote counseling sessions is encouraged. Expertise in specific therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), or solution-focused approaches will be considered an asset. Compensation and Benefits We offer a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $105,000 per year based on experience and qualifications.
