Work Environment\n

This position is primarily remote, making use of telehealth technologies to connect with clients. You will be working in a collaborative, supportive atmosphere that encourages teamwork and continuous learning. While the majority of sessions will occur online, you will have occasional opportunities to engage in community outreach initiatives when safe and feasible. We use a variety of digital platforms to facilitate therapy sessions and maintain communication with clients and team members.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to accurately identify clients’ mental health needs and develop personalized treatment plans.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions for individuals, couples, and families, ensuring the application of the most appropriate modalities for each client.

• Collaborate actively with a multidisciplinary team, including case managers and psychiatrists, to coordinate comprehensive care and ensure that clients receive holistic support.

• Provide crisis intervention strategies and interventions for clients experiencing acute psychological distress, ensuring immediate and effective support.
\n
• Participate in community education initiatives to raise awareness about mental health issues and eliminate stigma, advocating for resources and support for mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a community mental health center, we serve a wide array of individuals from various backgrounds, including those from marginalized communities facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, and relationship issues. Our focus is on providing culturally sensitive care that respects and honors the unique experiences of each client.

Qualifications\n

• A valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).

• A master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.

• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to develop strong therapeutic relationships with clients.

• Demonstrated cultural competence, showcasing sensitivity to the diverse backgrounds and needs of the client population.

• A strong ability to organize and manage time efficiently, ensuring timely documentation and follow-ups.

Preferred Experience\n

Experience in community mental health settings, knowledge of teletherapy best practices, and the ability to work with various therapeutic modalities are preferred. Familiarity with digital mental health tools and platforms can be advantageous, enhancing the overall client experience.
