Chef de Cuisine - Polaris

We are looking for a new Chef de Cuisine at Polaris, Atlanta’s legendary rotating Blue Dome restaurant and lounge on the top of Hyatt Regency Atlanta. Polaris has been a landmark on the Atlanta skyline since 1967, and reopened as one of the city’s most must-see restaurant destinations in 2014. The Polaris Chef de Cuisine will act as a senior leader with key management responsibilities, managing dining room operations and culinary staff. The Chef will also supervise the service of Polaris’ signature dishes as they’re prepared in an open, residential kitchen while guests rotate around. We are seeking a creative leader who will work as an independent owner/operator overseeing Polaris’ operation, and will take counsel from our Executive Chef to design innovative menu items that surprise and delight our guests. Responsibilities The Chef de Cuisine will oversee all kitchen operations, lead and develop the culinary team, manage food costs and inventory, ensure food safety and quality standards, coordinate with front-of-house staff, and constantly seek new culinary ideas to enhance guest experience. Qualifications In-depth skills and knowledge of all kitchen operations Strong leadership, communication, organization, and relationship skills Experience with training, basic financial management, and customer service Desire to exceed guest expectations in a fast‑paced customer service environment Ability to produce a consistent product in a timely manner Strong training and communication skills Culinary education and/or on‑the‑job training; independent restaurant experience preferred Benefits Medical health care (after 30 days) Free colleague meals during shifts Paid holidays, vacation and sick leave Paid Family Bonding time Discounted and complementary rooms at Hyatt’s worldwide locations And much more #J-18808-Ljbffr Hyatt Group
