Staff Accountant

What You'll Do Own month-end and year-end close — journal entries, accruals, reconciliations Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts Prepare and analyze financial statements and supporting schedules Support internal and external audits Process AP/AR transactions as needed Reconcile bank statements and intercompany accounts Assist with budgeting, variance analysis, and forecasting Identify ways to improve workflows and internal controls Collaborate with operations, HR, and leadership on financial reporting What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required) 2+ years of accounting experience in a professional setting Solid GAAP knowledge and financial reporting experience CPA license or active progress toward CPA licensure (preferred) Public accounting or audit background is a strong plus Proficiency in QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar — and Excel Sharp attention to detail with strong analytical instincts Experience in healthcare, government, or multi-entity environments a plus The Right Person For This Role Wants to understand what the numbers mean, not just close the books Looks for ways to improve a process, not just run it Takes ownership and follows through Raises their hand when something looks off — and comes with a fix Can talk to a fellow accountant or present to the CFO and handle both fine Why CHP We're mission-driven, growing fast, and building something.
