Business Development Manager, OEM (East Coast)

About the opportunity The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for increasing OEM and B2B sales of all QIAGEN products through the development of new opportunities and growing existing accounts via share of wallet. The BDM also ensures customer satisfaction while working with QIAGEN and works closely with project management, SAMs and customer service in both the US and global markets to drive opportunities to close. He/she should be comfortable selling to small start‑up accounts and large Fortune 50 accounts, managing long sales cycles and handling multiple complex opportunities at one time. The BDM should have extensive knowledge of NGS and PCR workflows. Your profile Minimum of Bachelor of Science Degree with a Masters or equivalent preferred. At least 5 years of OEM and/or B2B selling experience. Proven sales record and achievements with a wide range of customers. Knowledge of QIAGEN products preferred, as well as extensive knowledge of NGS and molecular biology techniques. Business development manager is also responsible for ensuring forecast accuracy & pipeline. 50%+ travel overnight. Independent worker and problem solver. Territory – ideally based in the East Coast. The estimated base salary range for this position is $100,000 - $140,000. Compensation will be based on the candidate’s experience, skills, geographic location, and other job‑related factors. In addition to base salary, we offer a total compensation package that includes a commission plan and generous benefits.
