Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for children and adolescents to identify their specific needs and challenges.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that address mental health issues while considering the developmental phases of each client.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to provide interventions for complex mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions, equipping parents and caregivers with strategies to foster supportive environments for their children.

• Work collaboratively with child psychiatrists and multidisciplinary professionals to ensure holistic care and maintain communication regarding patient progress.

• Provide crisis intervention and support during urgent mental health situations involving young clients.
\n
• Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, available treatment options, and community resources, promoting empowerment through knowledge.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation to ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards and participate actively in team meetings and consultations.

• Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in child and adolescent mental health to enhance service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with children and adolescents, ages 5 to 18, who are experiencing a variety of mental health challenges. This role requires a compassionate approach tailored to the unique developmental needs of young individuals, while also involving their families in the therapeutic process to maximize treatment outcomes. Assessing family dynamics and integrating them into care plans is essential in supporting the child’s overall well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Possession of a current and valid license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of New Jersey.
\n
• Robust knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders along with evidence-based treatment methodologies.
\n
• Proven experience delivering individual and family therapy to young clients, with a focus on a child-centered approach.
\n
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with children, adolescents, and their families.
\n
• Competence in using electronic health record (EHR) systems to document client progress and treatment plans.
\n
• A team-oriented mindset with an ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary group of professionals.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least 2 years of relevant clinical experience in a mental health setting, specifically working with children and adolescents.

• Familiarity with crisis management protocols and treatment modalities related to young clients.

• Experience in teletherapy or remote therapeutic services is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits\n
