Bread Baker

She Wolf Bakery is seeking a full time baker at our Brooklyn Navy Yard location. We work exclusively with local, organic grains, and specialize in naturally fermented doughs.

This is a position on our 3am team, working 10 hours/day, from 3am-1pm. The starting schedule will be Thursday through Sunday; w e offer regular schedules, but not permanent ones, so flexibility is required. This position will also require you to work weekends and some holidays. The starting rate of pay for this position is $19/hr. After a 90-day introductory period, all employees receive a review of their performance and rate of pay.

Successful candidates will:

• Have a passion for naturally leavened bread and experience in a professional kitchen setting with solid production skills and a passion for their craft. (Experience in a kitchen is preferred, but we are willing to train someone with strong organizational skills and a sense of urgency.)
• Bring detail and care to their work while multi-tasking in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

• Be reliable, focused, organized, communicative, and curious

While performing the duties of the job, a Baker is regularly required to stand and walk; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch. They must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
